You are absolutely right that putting the top down, windows up or down will change the sound of your stereo.

Being able to account for that is one of the benefits of tuning a high end car system.

I am referring to the use of rta in this video. I think in news television its called sensationalism. The best way to set a system for a customer is to grab a hand full of the customers cds and to set every thing by ear while listening to the customers music. Oh yea and I like how you guys made a new user name to help defend against my comment lol

God, for the price of that equalizer, you could buy an old chrysler sebring lol. My entire system ran me 1000$, between the pioneer dvd headunit- clarion eq- component speakers, and 15" cvx subwoofer. Sounds amazing no matter what you throw at it. That one 'audiocontrol' eq, JUST the eq is 600$ on crutchfield. This guy must have some money behind his belt.

what crap! i wounder how many people buy into this not knowing any better. put the top up and all the time used on the rta goes to crap. also rolling the windows up or down will change the way the stereo performs as well. With the exception of a properly tuned sub box.
