Jake's is playing "Devil's Advocate" implying in his opinion, that people can "start their own thing" or as commentator asked "exist" in the Church community. Remember, in Ephesians, there is actually in this world "one body", "one faith", the division of race, color, sexual orientation discussed here is outside of the "one baptism".

The owners of a company in a gay area I worked for at one time hired very diverse people. They hired me, a Christian, naive that the area was a gay area. They hired 3 guys I worked with who were active homosexuals, one was divorced, had been a counselor for the 700 club, one was a graduate of a Christian Bible College and the other was one semester away from graduating from a Christian Bible College. The scripture that the gay person who had been a counselor for the 700 Club that he stated he had not response to was 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, which is the Scripture partially quoted by Pastor John MacArthur. I am a person that believes that Sign Gifts are still in operation, very different than Pastor John MacArthur, yet Matthew 7 says, "22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" (NKJV) and Matthew 25:31-46, (The Sheep and the Goats), these passages make it very clear that there will be people who think they are Christians, yet they are not, since they do not obey Christ. So, there is one idea that I agree with Pastor John MacArthur on, it's called "Lordship Salvation."
