Hampi is situated in more or less equal distance from Bangalore and Goa (285 away km). The weather was nice for us to walk around the whole area for the entire day. What I found most stunning about the place, however, was the stones lying around everywhere, seemingly ready to start rolling. The architecture of Hampi, made almost entirely from the locally sourced stones, blends seamlessly with the stones. The ruins are preserved in a fantastic condition and they are a delight to discover.

Hampi is my peace place...every year i go there in first week of November from Friday to Subday without fail...this year as well its alredy planned....suggest you to prefer homestays near virupaksha temple
