I can hardly believe that a car still has its own characteristic smell after 25 years and in this case a very pleasant smell too. In my X5 from 2012 it has long disappeared! Personally I think the E70 is the most beautiful X5.

Great color. In this and newer X5 generations, the big wheels and tires make all the difference. I had a 2003 with a 4.4i V8 and it was a monster; the only thing I didn't like was the electric, drive by wire steering. This generation (E53) were the only X5s with an available 5 speed manual transmission.

Wonderful piece of art. The only criticism was that, back in the day, i had to find tyre shops that serviced lorries as the regular shops did not have the equipment to remove those rubber rings from those planet sized dishes!😊

The front silver splitter you've put on makes a bigggg difference, gives it more front end presence..this should have been standard
