Man, this new update is incredible! I just played one day just to feel things out. I bought a few speakers and placed them around the store. I love the addition of a music player. I also fired all my cashiers and got rid of my personal checkout counter, as well. Instead I now have five self-checkouts. I was standing there all day just watching and not one customer complained that the checkouts are full. I am never going back to having cashiers again.

Kage, the problem isn't the licenses clogging up the store and restockers. The problem worth so many licenses is the insane amount of overstock you have in the store. It's not necessary to have an entire shelf for most products. For instance, maybe you want 4 shelves for items that only get 8 items per shelf like flour. But for oil, you only need two shelves. Try it out, you won't run out of oil.

I like the new self checkouts. I do hope that to balance it better, the dev switches the speed between the hired cashiers and self checkout. It would make hiring someone worth it if they can run as fast as a self check out and the penalty for self check out is that it was as slow as hired cashiers were.

It’s wild I actually starting watching play through videos of this game when I was in Bangkok in February. I was so jealous I couldn’t be playing becuse I was travelling and in the wrong hemisphere 😂 People are dropping their content for this game but I love watching the videos even when you guys start from a new store with new updates.

When I saw the update, I immediately thought of you, Kage! The self checkouts are the best! In my playthrough with my grandkids, we have two, and they really help out at the 9PM rush. Keeps the customers happy, and we can help the stockers in restocking the store while everyone checks out. I have noticed an uptick in stock going out, but I will have to play by myself to see for sure if sales have increased with the self checkouts. Kinda hard to keep track when you two helpers 😂.

The music is a nice addition. Other than that, I haven't messed around with much else. But I love the update and look forward to adding the new stuff to the store and see how they impact game play.

I feel like the new self-checkouts should require a cashier to approve alcohol, etc. Maybe one cashier per 4 self checkout machines.

They cue to the left of the self checkout. So that placement was unoptimal. And I roleplay at least one cashier/ me doing the ringing up for the ones that want to pay with cash.
BTW: The best amount of packages to order (at least while you are still strapped for cash) is 3 or 6 packages at a time. YOu pay 2 dollars fee for up to 3 and 4 dollars for up to 6 packages. After that you pay 8. So you can order either up to ten for eight or up to 12 by doing 2 times six. And you can tecnically order up to 9 for 6 dollars by doing 6 and then 3. Once you are a bit more established that small amount won't matter any more but in the beginning those few bucks can be important.

I think you should have waited a week before you ordered a self-check out. You are standing around hoping for money. When you could have saved money ringing people in. I know you wanted to know what a self-check-out was like. Thank you for showing us. I know when i play again not to get self-checkout right away.

ah oh am i going to need to restart. i may of already bought a bad product license wasnt aware i shouldnt buy them all, would be cool if there was a list somewhere on which licenses to buy, guess there was some on here get to lvl 15 an get 3 licenses
