Math 209 Lecture 21 - Combinations and the Binomial Random Variable

Показать описание
In this lecture, we talk about combinations and permutations and how they help us count certain things efficiently. With that knowledge in mind, we turn our attention to the Binomial Random variable, which gives rise to a Binomial (probability) distribution. We discuss what conditions must be present for a situation to be considered in terms of binomial probabilities, and solve a few examples illustrating how to use this. We then stop and go over some problems for the upcoming test. Covering histograms, estimation and probabilities of choosing objects.
