Bilona ghee is ghee that’s hand-churned from the milk of native South Asian cows. Whereas factory-made ghee sells in India for around 585 rupees per kilogram, bilona ghee can cost up to 1,900 rupees per kilogram — over three times as much. Compared to industrial ghee, it takes much longer to make, but the end product is nuttier and more aromatic. Outside of India, it can sell for over $100 per kilogram.

We have been making this from whole my childhood up to 21 years age. We were only using this desi ghee in the kitchen. My grandparents were doing this whole of their lives. They all aged more than 100 years.

The corporate dairy companies will now stop giving advertisement to Business Insider, because they are promoting local hand made products 😂😂😂😂

Most important aspect of bilona ghee is that it’s fermented. Then only the health benefits emerge. Industrial ghee’s are made from milk fats without fermentation
