BMX Gate 😨 EXPLAINED

A minor mistake by any rider at the starting gate in this race can trigger a serious pile-up before the race even starts. BMX racing begins with all riders lined up at the gate, waiting for it to drop and signal the start. The riders push off with all their strength to gain speed and take an early lead, but timing is everything. If anyone moves too soon, they can lose balance or cause a chain reaction that leads to crashes. That’s why racers spend years perfecting their timing and technique to avoid disasters at the start.

I do the sport its not the riders fault you can se that the gate is maulfauctioning(idk how to say that)cause the gate when it starts di the beeb thing that is 4 millisecond long so when you hear the firs beep you have to go with your shoulder straight so you can have a perfect gate

The first and last clip was a gate malfunction. The gate went down delayed with the lights or didn’t go down at all

For the people saying “what’s motocross?” It’s basically Autocross (dirt road car racing) but with motorcycles but BMX is used with bicycles not motorcycles.

I honestly don’t think motorcycles ever raced on a dirt track

If it’s more than one person flipping at the gate it’s considered a faulty start because it probably was

I race BMX and I remember one year a kid went too early flipped over and got his leg stuck under the gate and they had to call 911
