I have my PGDE interview at Strathclyde Uni on Thursday - I have to do a 5 minute presentation and was going to do something like "The new problems schools face having implemented CfE".  I have worked in an alternative education programme since 2007 and as a result I found this video fascinating.  I didn't even know CfE had a history, we just suddenly were given posters about the four capacities on an In-Service Day.  I also don't think I can do the subject justice and may do something else!

My thanks to both the video's creators and uploader of this video.

This can only be achieved if teacher education is completely changed—away from being an institutionalization into school, because the character of schools need to change, too.

Pretty depressing film when compared to Mr Duncan Smith's extolling of shelf stackers being more important than geologists. I personally would like my curriculum to be more aspirational than serving the needs of the economy and the charlatans who exploit the poor to make a massive tax free profit.
