I am a busy dad with 4 daughters. Age 46. I am intrigued by this workout regimen. I‘ve only ever done the crossfit ones and for only 30 second bursts at a time in the various programs I‘ve been through over the years. I didn‘t think it was possible, but I just did 86 of the 6 count ones and I am whooped! The first 11 I did quickly back to back then I had to start breaking in between them. I will try the navy seal ones within the week.

Just finished my first week of BDP, and I think it's very good, solid and simple program. I do, however, feel humbled. Instead of spacing the workouts as you advised, I did 21 Navy seals on Monday (16 min), 51 6cts on Tuesday (17 min), 27 Navy seals Wed (20 min), and today 55 6cts in 20 min. The first two work outs were my mistake; as you pointed out, we have to use every minute of the 20 minutes.

That said, doing my 6ct workout a day after the navy seal work out left me more drained by the fourth work out for today. I had to crunch out 55 6cts and it was slower than my attempt on Monday. Though it was a personal best for the 6cts; I think I could have done better if I was more rested. I thought just 20 minutes of exercise each day would not be too taxing; I was wrong haha. Just wanted to share. I do feel great after completing 20 minutes of intentional and intense exercise. You are doing busy people a great service, sir.

Thanks for this explanation on how to get started! I like that intensity of the program can be scaled from either cautious or intense.

61 year old busy dad here. My first day of BDT...I knocked out 80 6 counts in 20 minutes.

Thanks for doing this. I’m looking at the BDT mass building program, but I gotta test in to see where I stand. Appreciate this.

Hi BD, sorry it's been a while . After doing a set of 500 6 counts around the time you did your 300 unbroken I have aggravated an old back injury . Hence no Burpees for over a week now . It was around 12 years ago I injured my back whilst lifting a heavy beam early one morning at work and I knew straight away it wasn't good. Since then It occasionally comes back to stop me in my tracks but I felt so good after dropping some weight and cleaning up my life in general ( and being on the busy dad program). So I'm patiently waiting to get better which is hard for me as I see you all doing the JC challenge and would love to have put my effort forward. Well done on the fantastic response it has achieved by the way, I guess you and JC must be very happy with that. All the best brother, I'll let you know how things are shaping up .

I just recently found out about the busy dad program and I hadn't watched this video yet, so I right away did my 10 pull ups and 23 navy seals (same day I heard about the program) and then the next day I did my 10 pull ups and 60 6 counts. My triceps are absolutely on fire and I'm glad to find out in the first week I'm only supposed to test in.

It looks like this one is missing from the FAQ playlist. Had to search for it. Please add it to the playlist :) Cheers!

Dear Max, I love to perform the BDP but I came across some severe bruises underneath my toenails. So my question is: is it suitable to step or outstretch the legs in the sixcount (or the navy) instead of jumping in? Thank you in advance Marcus

Anyone had any experience of healing serious eczema with workouts like this? I have no proof, but I do know that since doing lots of ironwolf my chronic hand eczema has finally cleared up. Am asking because my son is suffering v badly ATM. He's 13 and sporty and I want to see if I can gather anecdotal evidence to motivate him to train BDP with me. Much love to you, Max, and all those awesome burpee practitioners out there. I am 50, BTW.

I'm currently doing a workout program that is working really well for myself. I'd like to also incorporate doing the burpees twice a week instead of 4, due to the other training I do, would you recommend this or not?

Answered all my questions in one pass, thanks!

Is your age correct the website? I think there’s a typo there.
