So You've Just Bought CITIES SKYLINES - NOW WHAT? (Beginners Guide)

So you've just bought Cities Skylines and it's your first time playing. How do you start a new city?
In this quick, easy-to-follow beginners guide, I'll show you the BEST way to start a brand new city 100% vanilla. If you're an ABSOLUTE BEGINNER, we will go over the basics of the game, from the starting road layout to zoning, services and how to make money in Cities Skylines. We will go over the first few milestones and what to do when you unlock each one.

This tutorial applies to both PC and console players, but I am playing on a PC so some things may be different if you're on PS4, Xbox, Switch, etc. I have a few visual mods installed to make the game look more visually appealing, but the gameplay itself is 100% vanilla base game.

One thing that I always do when starting a new city is to put all the budget sliders to 50% and adjust them accordingly to the demand later on. Budgeting becomes practically unnecessary after certain threshold (because it's very easy to make lots of money in C:S) but it makes quite a big difference at the beginning of a game.

Keep in mind: Commercial shouldn't be used as a buffer against industry, as they do mind about pollution just like residential, but a bit less. Offices can be used as buffers or fillers, as they don't mind about pollution, and doesn't generate traffic at all.
It's also best to keep commercial/industry demand around 25%, you don't want to run into "Not enough workers" problem.
