Power AirFryer Oven - Taking it apart and looking at the inside

I took apart the Power Air Fryer oven to give you a look at the inside. You can be the judge on the quality of the appliance.

In my opinion, from a manufacturing standpoint it looks well made. The plastic casting looked good and was very easy to put back together. I bet it only takes about a couple minutes to assemble allowing the manufacturer to pump these out at a fast pace.

The quality of parts looked like budget parts. The rotisserie parts looked really cheap and the fan motor looked like a basic HVAC fan. In my opinion this should retail for about $75.

I watched you video to help me take my roommate's apart and remove the annoying buzzer/beeper. Many Many people are complaining about the buzzers. You should do a video showing how to do that (I don't do videos). In case anyone else needs to know, it is the small cylindrical, black component on the upper board, next to the label "BUZ". It can be pried out carefully with a thin edged flathead screwdriver.

Excellent video! I called the company when my light went out after 3 months. The guy told me it was out of warranty and I would have to replace the whole unit. I told him all I wanted to know was a part number for the bulb and some instructions on how to replace it. He repeated to me that I would have to replace the whole unit. I asked him if he junked his car every time the headlight blew. No answer. Anyway, thanks for showing me how to get to the light.

Thanks! My light has been out for a year and I now know I have to disassemble the whole damn thing to change it.

I am impressed, my air fryer developed to terrible noise like the fan is hitting somewhere, mine is still under warranty and I checked with a company they said I needed to send it back, I checked the rate to mail it back by parcel post which they said that was the cheapest way and it cost $69. Now I will try and take it apart and fix it, thank you for the video. If I need to buy a new one at different won't be the air fryer Pro.

Thank you. An in-law owns one and they ask me to "make it work again". Fixing it was simple enough. Getting the top off, well, thanks again. Guess I ought to watch the rest of the video. The problem? Oh, yeah, the microswitch wasn't closing, Heat combined with strong door catches is easily enough to cause everything to migrate out of alignment. Plastic air fryer, who'da thunk it?

Great job 👍
I was having a little trouble opening it as I didn't want to damage it, thanks for the video

I repaired my daughter's power air fryer. I traced the hot wire of the plug for continuity along its length and found a break in when the wire went into the burner housing. After disassembling per the video to get to the break which turned out to be the 192 degrees C thermal switch which was crimped connected to the hot wire, covered with a strip of high temperature insulation and clamped to the top of the electric burner metal shroud. Unfortunately you have to disassemble everything before you can get to this part. Watch out for the door switch interlock. Note its location because the plunger and its spring will fall out when the inner shell and burners shroud are separated. Note also that the nut to remove the fan blade is opposite thread. Turn nut clockwise to remove it. Also note there are two fan blades, a smaller one with the blades turned up and located above the metal burner shroud and a larger fan blade located below the burner shroud and with its blades turned down. A metal spacer with stepped top and bottom holds the 2 fan blades apart while bolted. I got the 192C thermal switch and high temperature butt crimped connectors from Ebay. I put the new thermal fuse alongside the old and cut out both wires at each end of the switch to where I planned to install the butt crimp connectors such that the overall length of the switch and new crimped connection will match the existing length without having to remove the existing crimped connections. I used my bench vise to make the crimped connection making sure only the half part of the crimp connection will be crimped at the corner of the vise jaws. I can rotate the jaws of my vise so I could make the crimps with the positioning of the switch restricted by its connections to the other parts of the fryer. Apparently my daughter did not clean the air fryer well after use so the accumulation of grease probably made the unit run hotter than normal. Note that the fryer controls can get it up to 400F but the 192C thermal fuse setting is equivalent to 377.6F.

Mine stopped turning on within a month but due to the lockdown the shops were closed so couldn't return it and now is out of warranty. But now I have managed to fix it. The safety door lock was dodgy and want triggering when closing the door as the spindle of the switch was not long enough. Put some hot glue to make it 3mm longer and it works perfectly fine now

Thanks for the video!
The relay that registers that the door is shut went out so I had to completely re wire this thing!
I had the issue after 3 months...2 month warranty 🙄
Thanks again!

Also to fit the newly connected thermal switch back through the hole on top of the plastic shroud above the burner shroud, do not slip the high temperature insulation in yet. Do it has all fit in through the hole.

I love videos like this. Next time you take something apart, provide at least a couple seconds of a close up of the circuit board so I can get all the component part numbers from it and see the quality of the PCB, soldering, etc. Thanks!

I have one of these ovens!

I use it to reheat my pizza leftovers.

And the beep is so annoying!

They should add a stay on feature.

They should add a feature where the rotisserie motor only spins one way.

There should be a feature to turn off the fan so its a broil oven.

And a feature to turn off the buzzer.

My power oven is only 6 months old and the bulb has blown already just watched this great video to see how to replace the bulb they don't make it easy thanks for the video my old man is going have a fit when he sees what he has to do to replace the bulb this appliance is not worth the money

5:01 the Fan, is what creates the circulation in the "Air Fryer", without the circulation, than it's just a broiler in a over priced plastic housing. lol

After watching this video, I'm convinced, that these "Cheap" plastic units, are just one Fire Hazard away, from burning down a house.

Very helpful, Thanks! I needed to change the bulb. It's unfortunately welded and could actually be accessed directly from beneath after removing the first peal.

Ah Ha! That's how you get to the top part!

The light went out a few months ago, then the fan stopped working. I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how to get to either.

Thanks!
