Why is Bouvet Island a Part of Norway?

Bouvet Island is the world’s most remote island and it’s owned by… Norway?? So why did Norway travel all the way across the world just to claim this barren island? And why does it still claim it to this day?

Trebbie! Great video! You were concise and factual. There's alwas more to a story that invovles international politics but you covered the main points nicely.

I discovered an error on my part that has been causing me to miss a lot of your videos. It seems that I have so many subscriptions that your videos have been getting lost in the constant flow because I didn't click on the bell and hit "All" way back when I subscribed. You only had like 136 subscribers at the time but, I had a strong feeling that you'd take off and go places with your channel. That is still true. Anyway, I've corrected my error and now I have a few Trebbie videos to catch up on. You'll be hearing a lot from me over the next couple of days. For now, though, I have to go to physical therapy cuz I got a broken leg (so bad it required surgery) at judo back in February. I'm looking forward to catching up!
