I just ordered one of these. Even with a moderate turn of the knobs you get a significant tone improvement. Case in point: 4:48. Enough said. Thank you for the review!

Great tones but I think you are supposed to turn the volume down proportionally to the bass or highs eq that you turn on, so you have a real eq and no saturation

How about a Will Lee preamp pedal? Those mids would be nice in a pedal. I'm sure you could sell a ton of them.

I have one that I put a new battery into today. I hadn’t used it in ages but if you want the active bass sound for your passive bass this little unit provides that in the best way. I think that it sounds best if you don’t go crazy with the tone controls.

I was thinking of buying this pedal but this is such a terrible demo I don`t think I will bother. Does anyone even use slap in music anymore apart from the usual suspects?

Hmm...Kind of an underwhelming vid.
If it sounds as good as the onboard preamp then great.
But the vid lacks in getting that across.

Snake oil. A $24 used Behringer bass EQ pedal does the same thing. How much is this, like $150+ lol... whats with the outdated Seinfeld pop and slap. Where is the pick playing demo?
