Gerri hit me too. 50 miles northwest of Chicago. The snow turned to rain and the city was not too bad. We never got a drop of rain, but added 12" to the 3" we already had on the ground. Wet snow followed by an arctic blast 15 degrees below zero. Then the village guys plowed 18" of rock hard snow into my driveway entrance. Ariens 24 went through it okay, but nothing like that beast you demo'ed. Stay warm. Loving your content.
BTW, I like that chute clearing tool with the brush. Is that available as an accessory?

Finally! Not necessarily a winter storm, but enough snow to get out the 1988 Simplicity 7 hp for the first time since I've owned it. I went completly through it this summer, using all your tips for lubrication, belt replacement and adjustment.

It worked great and it was so much fun to be out there with a vintage machine. By the way, my neighbor, who gave me this machine, paid $750 (plus $35 in sales tax) for this in 1988. That's a little over $1, 900 in today's purchasing power.

It's always a treat when we get enough snow in Indianapolis to use our snow-blowers.

We got another snow then rain event that eventually turned to ice. Im unsure if you heard Me but I was singing your praises. After watching you silicon video, I ran to NAPA and bought a can and sprayed the shit out of My Arien's. This storm, I would have spent at least 10 minutes cleaning the auger and chute out. (With the machine back with the spark plug wire attached :P When I tilted it back, there was just a little on the auger housing! So My hats off to you! Sadly no forecasted snow in the immediate future :(

What a beast. I got my two machines ready a 77 Ariens twin stick with 8hp tec, chains, impeller kit, all new bushings and bearings, custom scraper bar and diy roller skid plates. And a 79 JD 826 with impeller mod 212cc snow engine, Ariens u joint chute handle mod, heated grips LEDs, custom stainless homemade armor skids. Just need to get taller chutes for both and some x-tracs

Hi, I just recently bought the Ariens Deluxe 24" and your videos leading up to this were a huge help! One question I have is around the skids. I'm not sure if you've done a video on this yet or not, but I noticed that the metal skids this blower came with are literally gouging and digging into my driveway (newly paved as of last summer). It's really just the corner edge of the skid that is getting marked up, so it seems like it's not really level or sliding evenly on it, which is causing the gouging. Question: are these skids even necessary? What do I need to think about when trying to resolve this issue and what are some tips that you have for properly installing these skids? Thanks so much!!!

I was thinking about you this morning knowing that you're gonna get to use that new beast of a snowblower. Not sure if you got anymore snow than that. But we had over 3 feet...ugh. I spent 3 hours doing my driveway and 4 others. Did have some help from one of my neighbors. Hope you had fun JB cuz another one's coming Tuesday night. Cheers buddy! Nice video too!

I would like to say that I enjoy your videos, and I appreciate you making them so slay people can keep our snowblower, possibly maintained and possibly save some money on costly repairs at a service department. One I would like to make is the next time you make a video, such as the one about the January 2024 blizzard and Buffalo (I live in the Buffalo area), why don’t you come out to West Seneca where I live and there is 6+ feet of snow.and do a video. LOL. My Ariens Deluxe 24 (2014 model) handled that snow like a champ! Thanks again for making these videos.
