FOSSiBOT F2400 Portable Power Station + 2000watts of solar power

We need portable power on the farm. This solar charged 2000 watt battery seems a good choice.
Here is our independent review of this solar power station and a discount code if you would like one.

my extra thoughts:
I like how we can charge the battery at the same time as using it. it also has mains power charging for dull days. We made a waterproof box to keep it dry. i wish it was more robust
in the rain. the solar panel is very good but it needs a longer cable to the battery unit.

Thanks Simon and Dorothy.

I just bought one and have done preliminary testing. It arrived in good shape. It feels solid and well made. It is not light weight and feels like you are getting something for your money. It had a 30 percent charge out of the box. I plugged the power cable into the wall outlet to charge it and set it on 500 for a slower charge instead of 1100 watts. in about 4 or 5 hours it was at 100 percent. I plugged several devices into it including an 1500 watt heater. It ran fine with no indication of overheating. I only ran it for a few minutes so far. I will test it to see how long it will run before shutting off and add that to this comment. I tested my 200 watt solar panel connected to the XT-90 input and found it reached 176 watts charging at mid day. I have 2 of these 200 watt Renogy foldable panels and am pleased with the efficiency. I will continue to test it and update this post.

Maybe think of swapping from sprinklers to flood or drip irrigation, it will save both power and water . Lovely spot and wonderful garden

Replying from a person who owns their own future orchard and organically gardens in sun limited Ohio. We do get enough sunlight to run such a unit from about mid to late April until mid to late November. Yes, this could work to water our garden and orchard but at $1500 why not but a larger battery pack so that we could charge it with off peak load power. This is the power that is produced but not used fully in the grid. It is the power that simply goes up in smoke and in our case unfortunately coal smoke. It would also reduce the amount of peak load power produced from very low carbon natural gas powered turbines. If storage was available through the grid then the natural gas turbines could be eliminated and the over all generating capacity of the coal plants reduced. It would also supply emergency power to our property and house at the same time. It would be similar to a hybrid automobile for less cost than buying a huge propane or gasoline powered gas generator. My only complaint is that the unit needs a bigger battery unit.

Have seen people put these in Campers, really would like to know how hot they get in the summer.

It's a great necessity to have, and a very nice setup ! Especially during loadshedding, of which we have alot here in SA. I guess the cost will be about €1500. In our currency It's 30, 000ZAR ! Sadly beyond my reach.

Portable Solar Power Station QUESTION:

In a completely off grid scenario,
(ie. only Solar Panels to recharge),
Can this (or any other),
portable solar power station,
be programmed to automatically
turn ON the AC Outlet circuit,
once the battery is sufficiently charged,
WITHOUT human intervention, ???

So that it can automatically provide
power to any AC connected items,
without having to go to the remote location.

For Example:
If there is a shed located
in the middle of a corn field,
where grid power does not exist,
a portable solar power station,
could provide power
to a camera NVR system,
for security.

If the battery ever run out of energy,
the next day after the solar panels
recharge the batteries to a sufficient level,
I would like the AC Outlets,
to automatically turn on,
allowing the NVR to boot, and begin recording, without any intervention by me.

Who makes a unit that offers this functionality?
What Brand, and Model?

What is a search term that can be used in google to search for this capability?

thx

Have you ever considered using a water wheel..🤨

If it's capable of split phase 240 than it might work with a welder...
