Thousands laid off from US Forest Service

Members of Colorado’s legislative delegation are asking for President Donald Trump’s administration to overturn layoffs at the U.S. Forest Service. FOX31’s Carly Moore shares details about what roles were impacted.

Colorado, has already cut back on forrest rangers, the sheriff has been picking up the slack, I disperse camp and talk to the sherrifs when i run into them. Unfortunately people dump trash in the camping area so i carry contractor trash bags with me to give a hand trying to keep it nice.

I have nothing against the forest service, but they had nothing to do with "managing" that fire, at least once it was lit.

Law makers agreed that care should be given to stuff.
Elon decided law maker's were wrong. Elon needs that money.

This is not good and I appreciate cutting costs but we cant taje awsy our firefighters.NOTE I am out west but from DC area ans unless you live out west - east coast people have no idea about the fires here. I worked closely with the firefighters when there was a huge fire in NM. Fire fighters come in from all states. I think very highly of our fire fighters. The administration need to monitor the jobs they are cutting.

That means they are getting ready to do what they just did in California. First there will be time for insurers to cancel renewals. Then the rezoning from single family to multi family housing. Just as they are doing in California now.
