You can check the Commuter trains (U Bahn, Tram) in Germany.
Unfortunately, I can't introduce you all cities in Germany...
This video covers Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Bonn, Dortmund, Bochum, Essen, Mulheim, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Krefeld, Dresden, Erfurt, Leipzig, Nurnberg, Augsburg, Ulm, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Mainz, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Berlin, Hannover, Hamburg.
And most of video was recorded in 2018 or 2019.
So I can't include trains debut in 2020...

for Information: Germany has only 4 Cities with a real Metro system!
-Berlin
-Nuremberg
-Munich
-Hamburg
and 1 City with a nearly complete Metro system
-Frankfurt
All other Cities have a Stadtbahn, thats a Tram, where only drive in the underground in the City Center.
And that mostly for 4-6 Stations.

You we're unlucky at 24:10. Line 14 is the "smallest" line in Leipzig and there's usually one of two prototypes (1301) of the NGTW6 in service.

I think you're confusing some trams for subways just because they run through large parts of the city center in tunnels.
