F-35A Lightning II Demo Aero India

U.S. Air Force Maj. Kristin "BEO" Wolfe, F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team commander and pilot, demonstrates the capabilities of the F-35 during Aero India.

The mission of the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration team is to showcase the unique aerial capabilities of the Air Force’s most advanced 5th generation multi-role stealth fighter, the F-35A Lightning II.

Major Wolfe entered the Air Force in 2011 after receiving her commission from the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Program at the University of Alabama.

She is an experienced fighter pilot with more than 800 flying hours in the F-22A Raptor and F-35A Lightning II.

Her flying assignments include Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, Texas, and fighter training in the F-22A at Langley AFB, Va., and operational assignments at Langley AFB, Va., and Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

I was there and watched F 35 s Flying display.. It was wonderful. It dominated the other demos. I was in awe when it displayed its low speed handling. And the sound of the engine at low speed was mesmerising. F 16 was no less. Was truly a wonderful experience.

I want to inform this to all international viewer that su57 was also there tomorrow there is no schedule that f35 or su57 will fly
But su57 team take their fighter out from demo area fuel it up and showed aggressive maneuvers in sky
After it landed
An f35 take off from top of su57 and pilot showed high g manuever and turns in sky
Then again after f35 landed another su57 take off in sky
It was a lot of clapping back
And fun to watch at aero india😅

Look how cool American pilot and their ground crew...friendly...chilling each other yet very professional.Indian Armed force can also become like that one day. But the British mentality WALA Indian officers won't never let that happen

I can see a lot of comments in favor of F-35. But I am sorry to say that the SU-57 meets Indian needs more than F-35. Sure it is much more stealthier than the SU-57 but integrating with our legacy systems which are mostly of russian origin will be a pain in the a$$ and quite honestly, we don't have enough time. The real power of F-35 is that it works in conjunction with various other systems that are of NATO standards while we have a lot of systems based on the Soviet or Russian framework. So if we got for F-35, we may have to inadverently purchase a lot of other hardware (which would be redundant) or spend countless hours to integrate it with our weapon systems. On top of it, the US will never share the technology and while Russia is more than willing to do a complete tech transfer. So at best, India can buy a couple of squadrons of F-35 for deep penetration strikes (like the surgical strikes we did in Pakistan) while keeping SU-57 as the main work horse of our Airforce.

Where is the F-35 performance in the skies of India? There is a full video of the Su-57 with a demonstration performance. And the F-35? I haven't found one on YouTube yet. They say that after the Russians announced the performance of their aircraft, the Americans refused to make a demonstration flight. Is this because they are afraid of not looking very impressive against the backdrop of the Su-57?
