Bad motor and esc from Hobbyking

I have a similar problem, the 30A esc burned out when motor power was applied. I was using a 3s Lipo 1300mA. So I programmed elevons with power on through BEC, then powering up the "outrunner"? (spec was 3s inrunner) at about 1/2 throttle it cutout, then close throttle and open it slowly "POP" and poof, it burned the white wire between esc and edf causing a short between black and red wires. Damaged is a pooched motor, esc, and the lipo almost caught fire in the aircraft, but wires to EDF burned through fuselage. Complained to Hobby King and "Phillip the Specialist" put blame on me, I voided my warranty...really??? I have written back, but as yet they do not respond. HK customer service gets a negative from me. Not sure if I will ever buy from HK again, since this plane can be bought from other sites such Art Tech, Red Cat etc. If you see it on Hobby King, then look for it on the web, there are other sites out there who are better business minded.
