DIY Bluetooth speaker from old Airpod

Cool idea I bet if you upgraded the speakers they would sound way better. I built a single one with 2 speakers around the same size but the magnets and speaker material was much better and they sound amazing with 3.5watt amp to each one, I do have a passive driver the bass is surprising. They were only like $6 each. If you want me to find the place comment back and I’ll see what I come up with. I am wanting to build basically 2 Bluetooth receivers that plug into the aux port on my bigger Bluetooth speakers. I want to do that so I can have stereo sound. The only way I can do it at the moment is a Bluetooth receiver with a y splitter and an aux cord running to each speaker. I was planning to power it from the speakers because they have charged ports so you can charge your phone. I’m looking at projects for inspiration and you have given me some. Thanks.

does the air pod need the case for the bluetooth connection or it just charges the airpods and nothing else? cause I have a defective airpods pro and I'm planning to make a bluetooth speaker out of those.
