Rainbow Tubes - Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom

A little rainbow for you this Friday! I wanted to see how this colouring method looked with fully saturated colour, this is the result. There are some nice moments in there, but I think the dense bits are a little muddy. Better watched at high resolution. Please subscribe!

Interesting as always, but when you mix all the colors you get grey, which in this application over-emphasizes the difference between foreground/background or near/far. Complementary colors (red/green; orange/blue; yellow/purple) would presumably do the same. I just googled images of stained glass windows, and of those that worked for me, the multicolored ones all had large panes, so the colors never greyed optically, whereas the tonal windows looked magnificent even if they had very small pieces of glass.

Don't know if my choice of terminology is correct, but I'll just give it a go:
Seems the colors each have 6 'bands'. If the transition between and within the colors could be 'dithered', and the demarcation lines removed totally, I think that this good rainbow effect rendering could become a much better approximation of an actual rainbow.
You might want to experiment with it and make a 10+ minute monetization length rendering for our enjoyment and critique.
