The stunning duet by Toyota Star Maker Winners: Jared Porter & Kaylee Bell

The Pieces video was shot by Josh Favaloro of the award-winning Filmery. It’s the second single from 2014

Toyota Star Maker Jared Porter’s debut album East To West and is a duet with Kaylee Bell, 2013 Toyota Star Maker.

Pieces was written by Porter and Bell and produced by Andrew Cochrane at his Brisbane studio.

Jared and Kaylee met for the first time backstage at the Grand Final of Toyota Star Maker during the

Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2014.

They each came from different places when they wrote their individual parts of the song. Bell said she was

inspired by the ties that bind past relationships and knowing that even when mistakes are made no matter how

broken things may seem the pieces have a way of fitting back together.

Porter said that he’s fortunate not to have been in a situation like that and he drew on experiences he’s

witnessed. “I have a beautiful wife Nikola who is due to give birth to our first child in December and I know

the strength of true love. You can fall in and out of love with someone but can endure anything as long as you

love them no matter what your current feelings are. It's about coming back from pieces," said Jared.

Jared’s first single Deep End from his debut album East To West has seen him reach #3 on The Official Music

Network chart and #1 for an entire month on 989 Brisbane as well as #1 on Cool Country 2KA with great

support on radio stations across Australia.
