Under $40 DIY Motorized Wifi Camera Slider with esp8266. So while in the search for cheap camera slider, to my surprise I was not able to find any that will support the weight of a dslr that was under $200. thus leaving me no options but to build one myself.

Can't wait to see the new design. Hopefully you will add limit switches on both ends, have a stop/start and direction buttons. Add two more motors for pan and tilt. I'm trying to do this on an Igus W rail. You rock man!!! keep it up.

@Novaspirit Tech, I am wondering if it would be possible to add a button that would do the same thing as an app. Also is there a mode where it won't try and return the other way? Essentially I am trying to build a slide that has a button. When I click the button it goes from left to right then stops. When I click the button again, it does the opposite and stops. Thoughts?

This is kind of off topic, but I was wondering if it is possible to switch operating systems on the raspberry pi without losing your saved data. I'm new to this so I'm not really sure how to do it. Thanks in advance.

Great video and very nice projects. I have a Proaim Spark Slider and I am trying to motorize the Proaim. I am wondering if in your project the board can be programed to run on an "endless Loop" (running back and forth). I am very mechanical but I have zero electronic knolodge.

Hey Nova! A big thank you for this! im actually doing this for my neweer slider, I did want to let you know that the wiring diagram a4988 for me was black red black red, just in case anyone else has a different motor setup and the motor vibrates but does not spin.

What size capacitor is that? You didn't show that in your wiring diagram as well as the purple wire pin EN on the driver to pin D0 on the ESP8266.

Basé sur une excellente idée.. J'ai imprimé toutes les pièces, acheté presque toutes celles que j'ai identifiées... malheureusement, je n'ai pas compris comment la courroie dentée tenait, côté sans moteur (on dirait des roulements à bille sur la vidéo). Par ailleurs le code sur le site ne fonctionne pas (manque de précision sur le montage). Dommage que Novaspirit Tech ne réponde pas aux questions posées ici et sur son site ! :-(
