I have 13 years of experience with Minecraft Bedrock, is it really as good as we think it is? Or does Minecraft Bedrock suck?

What are some of your best memories with Minecraft Bedrock?

ALSO! for the sake of this video, I use Legacy Edition to show where pre-Bedrock versions were at

I grew up playing Console Edition on my PS3 and Pocket Edition on my phone. Only later was I actually able to play Java Edition. I didn't grow up with Minecraft the same way other people did. Even during 2018, I stuck to Minecraft Bedrock Edition, mostly because I still enjoyed it. I didn't find anything interesting in Fortnite because it was so different from what I used to play, but also because I couldn't play it. I'm so glad I didn't have a PS4 or a powerful enough PC at the time. During that time, I would play a lot of Hive and CubeCraft. I also played a lot of pay-to-win faction servers, and that's what got me into Discord. I'm so glad 2019 came around because it made Minecraft popular again, and I was really happy about it.

To this day, I unironically enjoy playing Minecraft for what it is. I love both editions of Minecraft, to be completely honest, and seeing people fight over which version is better makes me sick of it because they're both good and bad in their own ways. I hate when people say, "This is the superior version of Minecraft." Minecraft was always good, and when Mojang makes a bad update, I don't care about it. This game helped me make the most valuable friendships, and I just can't thank this game enough for that.

This video literally made me cry.

My sisters and I got Minecraft in 2018 on our Amazon Fire tablets.

We had so much fun building houses and mansions and messing with Addons.

I love this game. With all my life.

Legacy editions and bedrock are two completely different things.

Slight nitpick, Legacy Console is not the same as Bedrock

Solid video man really appreciate it!
My first experience with Minecraft was the launch night on the 360 staying at a cousins house overnight. We were beyond excited for the game. TU2 brought split screen and a few other small things, TU3 was pistons and the Nether. For me these were the most nostalgic moments of the game. TU4 would change the original villages and castle and after that I wouldn’t really play the tutorial worlds anymore. About 3 or 4 years after I would find myself with some birthday money. Could have got Java edition for $35 but instead got a 360 wired controller, pdp afterglow, and Windows10 edition which was $10 at the time. spent $35 all together at the time thought it was a better deal. Still dont regret it. I have a huge soft spot for Win10 edition as thats where id spend so much of my time playing the game. I am upset some of the unique packs like the biome settlers and strangers packs arent around anymore, but now I can play with my cousins who play on console and sisters who have it on mobile. I never played Java officially, just a heavily modded launcher but Bedrock has been in my life far longer. Java was here first, I respect that, but I prefer Bedrock over it. Recently found a save online of TU2 from the old consoles, exploring the old world has me so happy on the game again. Minecraft wont die, its too big of a sandbox to die, but we will all grow up eventually. I think out of my group im the only one who still likes MC as much as I used to as a kid. Dont think it will change any time soon.

Honestly by watching this video I got a lot of nostalgia, and I’m 15 I’m growing at the games age, which is kinda crazy, and I’ve been playing on pocket edition forever, I’ve been playing it since 2014 when I was 5, I began to be extremely obsessed, and now I’ve been playing the game for 2/3rds of my life, and I gotta say, I had fun, and it would be the same game I’d pick to play all over again.

Yo this brought back so many memories for me. Even though i started playing during the "Dark Ages of Bedrock" being 2016 i still find nostalgia with this. Especially woth the legacy edition stuff. I wasnt able to play online because my playstation plus ran out well before i got minecraft. Either way this sent me back. I owe legacy and bedrock so much for making it possible to play my favorite game of all time. Hell it was my favorite game back in like 2014 when i was playing knock offs and pirated versions. I remember playong a game called explore which is litteraly just minecraft pe with my uncle and aunt who are suprisingly only 4 and 3 years older than me. I remember playing with them at my house at their house over the summer it was great. To be honest i was scared when i realize that minecraft had an update. I thought i wouldnt be able to go back to the version ever again. While that is true now because i gave away my playstation i do plan to get xbox one edition and start playong legacy again. As for bedrock that is where i started doing things like redstone whoch while im not the best at it was fun while it lasted. I genuinely wish i was born a few years earlier so i cna play legacy and bedrock at their peak.

The problem for me and a lot of other people is that the better together update didn’t affect PlayStation so we were still stuck on legacy edition until 2020
(When the village and pillage update came out)

Thank you for sharing your pov on Minecraft bedrock! I’ve always been a Java player and I’ve really enjoyed this little insight on what other versions were like :D

I grew up playing Pocket Editon around 2014 or so, with the nether reactor, and it was on a kindle, so it died,
then another one, around 2017, then I started playing Minecraft Xbox One Edition, it was nostalgia,
then I migrated to Bedrock edition around 1.14, or 1.15 idk,
now, I have worlds that are so old, they don’t have nether ruins in them
