I have clicked many excellent pics with my Nexus 5, and I find it better than S4 in most situations.

Battery life for me (on medium to heavy use), is around 1 day 3-4 hours, which is decent enough for me.
Dont have any heating issue on 3G though. Gaming does heat a bit after 30-40 minutes, but nowhere close to M8 (reaches there faster) or Z2.
