Jazz family, we can not forget what’s kept us afloat during these unpredictable times — 
It has been a privilege to be recipients of this music — *a tradition that’s been, both, a life-preserver & an anchor.*

In the not-so-distant past, we were starving for connection…. Our bellies have been filled & appetites have changed.
Keep your *passion* for the finest…
but *never forget the fragile days* when we weren’t sure if a musical feast was even possible. 🙌🏽

Producing festivals, albums, & live performances in this pandemic era is an epic feat…and an *act of love.*
Faces that we know, (& more so, those that we do not), have kept this train going. 

*These live-streams have become additional members of our households.*
And for the ‘independently blue’ there is a faithful friend in this music…😚💋  
Therefore, let’s love the music (and ourselves) just as we are…at any given moment.

*Let’s gently recalibrate why & how we listen.*

Our experience is what *we* make it.
Ask any musician who’s performed outside of ideal conditions…(try all)…& without the support of audience energy or accolades.
*They cultivate an atmosphere of swing & joy from a creative well-spring that lives within.*

Let’s be willing to do the same: May we *own our ‘inner-swing’* & stay *true to ourselves* when no one is watching. ❤️‍🔥🎶

it is unfortunate that the sound recording was not up to the quality of the musicians. Piano ok but almost inaudible double bass (obviously due to a microphone positioned in front of the double bass but no sound pick-up from his personal amplifier) ​​and meager drums (1 distant microphone placed above, absence of microphones close to the various elements of the battery).
