The apposition of the singing woman and the speaking man at the beginning is quite brilliant — it ensures we don't think that "qol" could mean "he/she speaks" (a verb we've already seen), but intuit, paired with the eminently clear facial expressions, that a sound or voice is merely heard. Amazing! 👏

And I love how this episode is building so nicely on previous lessons — the variety and complexity of the sentences is steadily and pleasantly increasing. This makes understanding the Bible passage at the end super easy — it also happens to be one of my favorite to read from the Old Testament! Great story telling in the facial expressions and the tone of voice, which cry out: "That ain't Esau! That's Jacob!" 😂

The sad face Beth makes when she says "lo shama'ti b'kol ishi" is breaking my heart.

샬롬. 감사합니다. It is also encouraging and touching to read through the appreciations from all over the world. I hope there are more and more people who understand the word of God in the original language.
