Pretty sure this "criminal act" will go unpunished. Especially considering most violent crimes these days are getting probation at worst.

I seen a video of a guy who realized one of the signs on a highway were really hard to understand and had complained to the DOT many times with nothing done. So he took matters into his own hands and made a sign with the exact font an everything. So one night he changes the signs, and the dot never noticed for like 10 years. The sign was so good they let it stay up and he didn't get in trouble. It's on YouTube for anyone interested.

I dont but heard some guy started adding a notice for an exit somewhere and it took a few years for the local gov to change and add it. The guys illegal job was so good they didnt need to change anything after they changed the sign officially.
