I've gone through the steps 4 times each time I hit "write" it says no files found. I'm stuck. Since I updated the version first now when I try to connect to the program on my computer it will not let me anymore until I update the version on the core. It is useless at this point. If anyone can help....please help. (I am updating this comment...it is 2/22/22 and i had to do a factory reset and delete the software on my computer to get everything to work. After the factory reset i was able to get the file to showup and update the firmware. Afterward i reinstalled the software on the computer. Now everything is working.) (Here is another update >> it is 3/4/22. I have been to 3 rehearsals and the tones in the Boss GT1000CORE are amazing! )

For the 4.0 version there is a bug where if you go into the INPUT SETTINGS from the unit while connected via USB to the computer with the BOSS Tone Studio, then the app opens the TUNER instead of the INPUT SETTINGS. The unit will still open the INPUT SETTINGS but the app will remain on the TUNEr until you close it from the app itself.

I’m using BOSS GT1000 core… and i connected it to my windows 11 using USB type A DATA/DATA sync… why the flash drive or files on (this pc) is not showing? Sorry for my bad english

I faced an issue during updating to ver. 4 from ver. 3.21, followed the procedure properly, and all work ok, when turn on GT1000 after the update, it fails to boot, Only shows GT1000 on the screen, all leds turn blue and freeze as is, even when turn off GT1000, screen keeps freezing as I did not turn it off.
I repeated the process many times with the same result.
Then I did once again with ver. 3.21 file and completed successfully, I did factory reset, then repeat the process again with ver. 4 bin file and faced the same issue again.
Finally I returned back to ver. 3.21 waiting advices or Boss to fix.

QUESTION
I'm on version 1.03.
Do I need to update to the next updates first, or can I just go right to 4.0.0 ?
I'm scared to update it wrong and screw up the pedal like I did my Roland RD2000 keyboard.
I updated wrong, now I can't update the new German Piano.
I tried to update the GT-1000 on an old MacBook, so I just got a new Macbook just to try it.
I don't want to aimlessly download all those drivers...Etc, to my computer.
I don't really understand how or what they do exactly.
I can't find a tutorial that has alternate ways to update it if things go south.
The online help through Boss and Roland are terrible too.
It's only through email, and they basically just gave me a rebate for the $199 for the German Piano and that was it.
After a week and change of trying to update my keyboard, I'm still left with nothing.
I basically counted my blessings that the keyboard still turns on and works at least, but that doesn't say much about the company.

I wish local music stores or Best Buy would update it for you, but they won't do it, or don't know how to do it either.

Could you let me know what the issue could be in my case? After I update the firmware, when I start my GT-1000, I get the update message again. I have done the update process a couple of times, yet I keep getting the update firmware message. Please help.

You should start with the "back up recommended before update"... 😓

God, I haven't seen anything worse than Boss systems. You are impossible
