Thanks for sharing this info, I've had one attempt of 3 pieces at doing this technique, all 3 failed. After watching this video and Part 2 I realized that even though I asked for a low sheen neutral/untinted base paint amd got the brand you use, it was not what I asked for and is an accent not a Neutral, seco0ndly I think my paint colours were too thick and that I didn't add enough Jo Sonja and possibly didn't add enough floetrol to my CA as I got no cells. I won't throw my Accent paint out, was too darn expensive to throw out lol but will reserve it for when want pastels and buy neutral to give the bloom technique another go.

Hello from the US! I'm just learning this technique and I love that you can use simple house paints. Great information in this vid. Sorry, mate... what did you say that you mix 3:1 with the paint? It sounded like 'semi-gloss varnish'. Is that right? Like polyurethane? Thanks for clarifying... G'day!

Love your videos! Always packed with valuable information. Can you tell us how to make a translucent base to use as a flood coat? I want something to pour over a bright base so the base will not mix with other colors on top. I hope this is clear.

Hi daz I know I’m painful but you you show me or tell me the extra bright base and accent base I’m so confused now as I’ve only got the easycoat high gloss and don’t if the others are the same brand

Does anyone know the best search term for this type of base here in the USA? I've searched and I think it might be ultra deep base C but it seems very hard to find and some of it's over $100 a gallon. I did finally buy some of the c to try but it got damaged en route and they just refunded me instead of sending more for that same price...now it's 2x as much $ everywhere I look. Anyone have a good supplier/store or name of what to look for?
