Youre right this wasn’t an amazing life changeing film by any means, it’s definitely meant to be a simple movie for moody teenage girls and that is fine doesn’t automatically make it terrible. My younger sisters were cracking up, crying, swooning over this movie and although I wasn’t particularly interested I did notice it was made for them and was still able to sit through the end because it’s not unwatchable either. What made me keep watching was Andrew Scott’s performance bouncing off of Bella Ramsey . Good review ! And Mathew perry is the funniest actor on friends!! 😂

as someone who loves watching period films, im not a fan of this new trend where there's been a lot of "historical" films, and im using quotation because the only thing historical is maybe the costumes and maybe some genre tropes. these films often have a trailer with a 80s rock song or something playing in the background. if i wanted to watch something more contemporary or modern id go somewhere else. i say all that to say that despite my reservations, i thought the trailer was hilarious. the actress who plays the lead is so adorable

I'm 31, and my sister is 38. We really enjoyed it, and though not _every_ joke landed, we were still cracking up at much of the sh*t Catherine said and did, and at other things in the movie. I loved it. Wish there were more movies like it

Watched the movie with my 10 year old daughter knowing this movie wasn’t for me but still found it enjoyable for what it is.

I really would be ok with this BUT, I am not ok with Lena Dunham. She just turns my stomach. I did like Ramsey in GOT. BUT, Dunham always wants to come across as feminist and thought provoking and she just isn’t. Matthew Perry is the funniest guy on Friends.
