May he and his beautiful wife rest in peace next to each other. The world could learn a lot from them both!

Thank God that Joe Biden will still be President while America lays Jimmy Carter to rest.

Nicolle Wallace, you're a great presenter anyway but I hear or feel an extra layer of the most decent emotional involvement here. Respect!

He has been my hero since I was a child. Not because of what people said but what I knew in my heart. He was a person that did without looking for praise or benefit to himself. He is an example to us all of what it truly means to be a leader. He will live forever ♾️ in my heart and the world’s heart. Now let’s all try to honor him by living by his example ❤

Seeing Jimmy Carter speaking makes my heart ache. How could we come to this disgraceful state of affairs? I bet it made his heart ache too.

I have stepped away from watching MSNBC since the election, but I miss you Nicolle, and I knew you would give a good tribute to President Carter. So I am watching this, and it was worth it. What a sweet, wonderful tribute!

Very nice segment ❤ And so great to hear Brian Williams again 🎉 I didn’t know a lot about his show before Trump 1.0, but his very calm and clear demeanor was amazing and I came to Watch him every day. Love that Nicolle was the one to take over. Brilliant woman!

We did not come to truly appreciate him when he was our President. We came to learn who he really was in his long post-Presidency where he did so much for so many around the world. We now, upon reflection realize just who we had as our leader: a man of great character who was one of our leading citizens as well.

"de-glorified" the presidency?
If he means that Carter wasn't pompous, wasn't thin- skinned to the point where he had to attack and threaten, demean any of his adversaries, that none of that was necessary because he liked who he truly was so much that he didn't need any of the accolades from others to make him feel any better than he felt about himself.
That he was so down to earth that everyone who knew him personally or just saw him thru their TV sets in their living rooms felt that they could feel free to approach him, or that he would approach them?
Then yes, he took the over the top glory out of that powerful position and made the rest of us feel that he truly wanted to do what he could,
not for those folks up on DC, and most certainly not for the coporations and their money minded ilk,
but rather for the people of this country, whom he fully accepted he had a personal responsibility to serve.
Ok, in many ways he couldnt get it done to the extent he wanted too, but in terms of a HUMAN relatable president, siance then, you will never see another one like him again.
