Russian men take long road out to escape mobilization

As soon as Vladimir Putin announced his military call-up for the war in Ukraine, tens of thousands of Russian men tried to leave the country, often by circuitous routes. Reuters spoke to two of them. Ed Baran reports.

I am glad they are not fighting but disappointed they are fleeing when they remained quiet during the invasion of Ukraine. The true bravery from the Russian people were those protesting the war.

I don't blame them. No one wants to fight a war they don't believe in. This has nothing to do with defending one's country. If only Ukraine did the same. Then there would be next to no one left to fight a useless war.
