What are the top 5 conditions secondary to tinnitus?

Показать описание
The most common conditions that can be secondary to tinnitus are depression, anxiety, hearing loss, headaches/migraines, and sleep apnea. Each of these conditions may be eligible for additional compensation from the VA if a direct link to service-connected tinnitus can be established using medical evidence.

In order to receive added benefits for a secondary condition, veterans must be able to provide evidence that proves their tinnitus is linked to the additional disability. This may include medical documentation such as doctors’ notes, hospital records, lab results, or any other forms of relevant proof. It's important for veterans to keep detailed records and speak with a qualified representative about their individual case in order to ensure they get the benefits they deserve.

Good day Craig, You're that dude my man I did the tinnitus and received 10% now I'm going for the others you talked about, This has been 20-plus years finding I gave up on this back in 1988 but started back filing in 2020 I'm starting my own Nexus letter by messaging my Doctor direct with my mental and physical issues by using codes and statements. Blessings Everyone!

Craig - I was military Radioman in the 1970s. I've had tinnitus ever since. I finally got off my duff and filed a claim in late January. I just received 10% for tinnitus which only took six weeks! Now, I'm scheduling an appt for hearing aids. Thanks for your help brother.

Wow great info!!! I’m watching this video in May 2023. I just had my VA rating of 10% for tinnitus increased to 60% due to depressive disorder. Your videos give excellent insight and advice. Thank You.

I had depression secondary to tinnitus because it's awfully hard to sleep when you're having ringing in your ears. It's hard to work when you've got ringing in your ears. It's hard to do a lot of things when you have ringing in your ears. That's what I told my doctor and he said it is as likely as not that his depression is secondary to his tinnitus.

Hi Craig. I love your channel and you give lots of great advice. I have been a VSR for 10 years now. Most of us are veterans ourselves and we try to get veterans the most benefits possible. One thing, though, you CAN file secondary conditions at the same time as you file for the condition you are claiming them secondary to. As long as we get positive opinions, we will grant the secondary conditions at the same time. You could be losing money on the secondary conditions because the date of claim is later, therefore, the effective date would be later.

Best cahnnel on YouTube. Keep up the good work helping fellow veterans get the compensation they deserve.
I've had tinnitus for many years and I had no idea my depression and migranes could be caused by it.
Thank you so much for the info.
