It's kinda depressing to think that this is 62 years ago, and most of the people in this video are dead

The voice, the looks, the moves, the charm; Elvis Presley was blessed in more ways than one.

60 years later and he's still breaking hearts, so charming

Every single Elvis movie needs to be fully restored, remastered and make 4k. He deserves that.

My mom was a teenager and saw the King at a concert. He kissed her cheek and gave her a scarf. Grandma said Mom didn't wash her face for a week lol

Watched this 5 times before I realised the trombone and sax were fake.

Fun fact: Elvis is my grandmothers first cousin. There are photos of him and my great grand dad working on cars together. He was young and not famous yet.

No one, and I mean NO ONE, could ever get that intro pitch, the way Elvis done it, which makes this a unique song.

I have only just noticed this at 1:58 - just look at his precision when he is dancing on the table - he never touches a bottle or moves anything on that table as he glided across it. Now that is precision for one take

I can’t describe how cool and effortless he was. There has been NOONE to match his swag. Everyone is inspired from him. God bless the king.

It’s crazy to think this was considered to be super “edgy” back in the day. The concept of convicts being the main focus/protagonists and Elvis’s dances like moving his hips was met with controversy.

But it didn’t matter, because just like a lot of his music, the song was a big success and overshadowed the controversy. The “edginess” was one of the main reasons why he was so popular. Jailhouse Rock stayed at number 1 on the US Billboard for seven straight weeks!!!

Elvis was INSANELY ahead of his time, and changed popular culture forever! His influence still lives on even in 2024 :D
