People make fun of Creed, but the lyrics hit a lot of people in their heart.

Glad to see Scott is doing well. He’s very self aware and his reflections are deep. Good to see this

I think he describes a lot of people's struggles when he says he wasn't living it but he still knew in his heart he had to do the right thing.

"IT is what I felt called to do". - Thank God he did. Best lyrics for the soul.

They might not have been a Christian band but they definitely helped a bunch of people in their lives going through different things that life put in your way. And probably still do.

It was these “Christian Themes” that pulled me in because I loved hard rock and metal but at the same time I knew I was lost. Simply stated, I’m grateful for those lyrics.

I was deployed to Iraq in 2008 and while my unit was in Kuwait preparing to be sent over Scott Stapp played a show for us.. we were surprised to say the least.. sounded just like studio and he gave it his all.

My Sacrifice, One Last Breath and With Arms Wide Open always bring tears to my eyes whenever I hear one of those songs. Those were my go to songs when I felt the world didn’t give a fuck about me. Got me through some pretty dark times.

Scott is a deeply complex dude. I may have, at one point, trashed him and Crees as goofy, but the more I learn about him and what he’s been through the more I appreciate him as a person and his artistry. The other guys in the band are also objectively amazing musicians. Creed rules.

Mad respect to Scott for being real. Sometimes you gotta write about what you feel.

Scott Stapp might have been one of those writers who had a fire in his bones and no matter how much he tried he couldn't write about anything else. And it regulated resonated with a whole generation of of who needed to hear it. 25 years later I'm still a Creed fan.

I'll never forget the first time I heard My Own Prison. I instantly called the radio station to find out who sang it. See I'm disabled because I drove drunk when I was 21, so that song hit me hard. It literally described my situation. "I created my own prison!"

We are all sinners. But not ignoring what God had planned for him is amazing. Creed helped me through some dark times.

“I wasn’t living it.”
That’s the difference of acting religious and being a true child of God. I pray for strength to do what I know is right and follow Jesus with a clean heart.

You may not have been Christian people. But the lyrics were so powerful, AND just as rock and roll as they could be.

Creed helped me get through some rough times as a teenager. Whatever the intention of the band, they put something beautiful into the world.

Big Thanks to Creed!

My cousin and I used to listen to Creed when we were kids. He got Leukemia and Passed away at 10 and was the closest cuz I had.

Creed always makes me think of him.
