Steel yourself with the Casio A1100 | 52QS-14 Reissue

The Casio A1100 is an all new steel Casio watch that was released in July 2023. The watch is a Casio vintage reissue of the 52QS-14 from 1978 and it features a case and band made of steel and is released as a premium product. The watch comes in 3 variations which are black, gold and silver in colour. The gold and black (gunmetal) variants are Ion Plated (I.P.) to achieve the colours. Prices are expected to be around $150 and the watch uses the same 3503 module found in the existing A100. The specs include an auto calendar, alarm, LED (amber) backlight, chronograph and water resistance.

I really like his Casio is releasing hit after hit both in the cheap and the more premium segments. Personally I like the resin models more as they make for fun instant purchases. If this indeed comes in at 150 dollars, I'd have a hard time justifying spending that much on a watch like this, but I'm glad it exists.

I have a model A 1000D-7EF and I very satisfied from it! His light Mother of pearl color make me feel so special!...
I appreciate full steel Casio models, because they really make you feel the difference and advantage between cheep and premium products.

Interesting timepiece. I really love the superb finish and the fact that it´s all stainless the module is very basic and that keeps me from buying it. I´ll wait till Casio decides to bring back the stainless steel "Marlins" one modules were my favorite ones from Casio.

I really like the look of this watch but would prefer all Casio watches today whether in resin or stainless steel to have at least 50M of water resistance. I personally think also that the A1000 series of watches could be much cheaper at around £80 especially since Armitron an American brand can produce a stainless steel watch much cheaper and have a 50M water resistance on them. I have an Armitron Ridgemont analogue/digital watch which is a really good watch for only £47 from Amazon US which is a really a good bargain price for a fully stainless steel watch.
