I’ve fitted maybe 30 of these over the last 18 months I personally love them it’s easy to fit with the jig, love the rear piping options even more so now the plate would be easy to remove from the front, plug in Worcester controls another well thought out time saver, user display is really good especially for installer options, prv as you said street elbow and a coupling fits perfectly 👍 easily my favourite to install from the Worcester range

Hi Alan just been on training at Worcester Normanton, heard you were just over there, like that it's range rated and the self fill filling link, and that they seem to have made the boiler engineer friendly, great video as usual, thanks for all the hard work and time you put I to them, cheers pal

Alan I'm doing boiler service repair the past 25 years and your videos are spot on. 👌 makes you feel more confident when carrying out a service on newer models..quick question I seen you use some liquid to clean condense bottles a while back..what solution did you use.

Great video... did you do a video on the control panel in the end as I can't find one...

Great video Allen, thanks. What would you rather have this or a Baxi Platinum+ 40? Situation is a large house with multiple bathrooms, but rarely going to be used simultaneously.

I have a question for Allen and the community. I am on the lookout for a new combi-boiler suitable for a flat. It is a 2 bed, 1 Bathroom. I plan to box it into a kitchen cupboard (Which will most likely need customisation to cater for the boiler). Flue needs to exit to the right-hand side of the boiler from the wall I plan for it to be on. I want something reliable and easy to work on for gas technicians when required. What would people recommend? I have a Vaillant on another property and although I was initially pleased I have the dreaded leaking flu which I believe is a design flaw in the Vaillant range and the warranty aftercare was awful. Could anyone recommend a boiler?

Hi Allen, just installed 3 worcester 2000, very similar to the 4000 in three flat. I turned the KW heating output down to suit. As in the Benchmark you need to add if you alter it and to what. The landlord then checked the booklet, asked what reason I did this, and told me to put it back up as the tenants would then need to run the boiler for longer.
He also watched me do it so he could check it after I left.

Great video. We have just had one of these boilers installed. If we have to turn the boiler off (for what ever reason) at the electric switch its connected to. When we turn it back on, will it have lost all its settings? Many thanks.

Was looking to find out the pipe measurements from the jig to the elbow, when using talon clips, as I wanted to knock up a few tails to speed up on-site install time, as I’ve got a new contract starting next week and wanted to get a head start.
Thought I’d found the perfect video in yours, then all of a sudden when you’ve got a tape in your hand about to measure, the frame skips!! 😂😂😂 what happened, I’m guessing you bottled it because couldn’t find the exact measurement. 😂

Great video Alan I always fit ideal but a few ppl ask for a Worcester so interesting to see an install. With the new regs on part l and the flow temp of 55 and lower delta tee can u do a video on how to size up a new boiler and system whilst adhering to the new regs etc

Hi Allen. Would you choose this over the Viessmann 050 at the same Kw? Would really appreciate your advice. Cheers!

Hi Allen, loving your honest approach to reviews etc, was wondering if I could ask some advice - currently have an old Ideal Icos that has died and just about to replace but having problems finding a boiler that seems like it would be powerful enough. Old boiler is an Ideal Icos He36 (37kw) with Oso indirect 250L unvented tank. I wanted to go Viessmann after your review but seems like they only do 32kw, failing that I was looking at Bosch 8000 40kw. House is 3 floors plus fitted out basement, 4 beds, 1 bath (shower + bath) and 2 ensuites (1 shower + 1shower and bath), there are 25 radiators in the property. Any advice on what to go for would be greatly appreciated.

Great video I would use a street elbow and socket for prv connection 👍

Hey Allen thank you for the in depth review, however I have just had one of these boliers fitted to replace a broken ideal logic 35. since doing so my gas usage has almost doubled in kwh what can I check to reduce it.

I have the easy control wifi CT200 panel and the app which has no instructions whatsoever. I have found a few guide videos on youtube though

Standard uk home end of terraced no changes made to the temperature selected on the thermostat but gas usage gone from daily average of 16kwh to 30kwh

regards

Kerry

@ 10:29 I appreciate the fact that for many years now Bosch has been using low voltage coil gas valves that never break down

I’ve just been recommended one of these by butco so that all sounded pretty good

Hi There,
Having a 4000 fitted next week, can you explain what the hot water saving feature is please, I know you have to turn the tap on then off then on again but I’m mystified as to what it does?
Thank you for the video, you are the reason I picked this boiler.
Regards,
Anthony.
