it's always the cool aunt with cool music. In fact my aunt introduced me to TOOL. That Schism video really disturbed and intrigued me for days

Maynard is really interesting. Thank you for being an interviewer that asks meaningful questions about his music. ❤😊

This makes sense
Black Sabbath 1st was my childhood trauma album.
My mom had it, i found it, put it on and the first song scared me.
I was 8 in 1981.
Huge Maynard Fan!

I'm also an only child and was heavily influenced by my cousin who is 8 years older. He introduced me to Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Jeff Beck and Chick Corea, among others, in the late 70's when I was a frustrated 11 year old KISS fan looking for music that was more authentic.

My first listen through Blue was in 2018 and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Timeless album.

He always has such amazing graphic tees. Where does he get these shirts. I love them all.

The topography of West Point drives a person to Arizona. I personally roamed the grounds 3 years straight during homecoming games. Tommy, Dr Feelgood & Use Your Illusions II. I memorized all 3 while exploring West Point with my Walkman as discmans weren’t affordable nor practical yet. 2003, Age 26, ditched NY for AZ and never regretted it (but I do miss: Huntington, Babylon & Oneonta)
Jerome, AZ is a perfect microcosm of ‘Merica. Late wife & I drove thru & explored Jerome with our 2005 VW Beetle in Fall 2006 and we got our wedding rings there for our 3/31/07 wedding. We both lost ours so we got new ones Summer 2022. 1/8/23 a stroke happened and by 7/29/23 she was gone. At least I have my Shiba Inu Chewbacca as my living teddy bear

He new Man Who Fell to Earth, is a sequel series, to the Bowie movie.
It’s set in modern day, and shows what happened to the character.

I never realized how obvious it is that Maynard is so heavily influenced by Joni Mitchell, but it’s painfully obvious once you hear that clip of her singing.

Tool rocks but I wasn’t feeling the hall of fame performance. Except for Wolfie of course and Jack’s Ozzy intro.

Misreading stuff is fun. I glanced at the title in the feed and thought, 'Great, a new video about Keynesian economics.'😹
(I mashed Maynard James Keenan into John Maynard Keynes)

My aunt introduced me to Beatles Relolver, when I was hopefully too young to read properly. Years later I realized I'd mixed up the syllables and it was revolver, ie. a gun. (My children are dyslexic and autistic. When I was a teen they hadn't even invented depression yet)

Super duper massive cataclysmic hot take here. I do not understand why Joni Mitchell is a god. I really don’t get it, I’ve heard so many better singer songwriters, her voice is a bit odd and the lyrics aren’t anything that carries the music in my opinion (with some exceptions of course). And Maynard is my fav vocalist and in my fav band..
Please don’t kill me, don’t shoot 🙌
