Are you wanting more power and torque from your GPF equipped MK7.5 Golf R and not sure where to start?
The MK7.5 Golf R comes equipped with an incredibly restrictive dual GPF exhaust system, the GPF for those who don't know what an OPF, GPF or PPF is here are some definitions:
OPF = Otto particulate filter
GPF = Gasoline particulate filter
PPF = Petrol Particulate Filter
This exhaust system is incredibly restrictive which adds a lot of backpressure and increases EGTs vs. the non-GPF cars which are the early facelift and original MK7 Golf Rs. Due to this, the tuning potential without removal is less than the non-GPF equipped cars.
Despite the hugely restrictive factory exhaust system, significant gains can be enjoyed with the APR Stage 1 ECU remap. This remap optimises fuelling, ignition, boost and many other maps inside the ECU for improved power, torque and driveability.
🔴 Baseline Output = 314HP & 303lbfts
🟢 Max Gains = +37HP & + 50lbfts
🟢 Peak Gains = 27HP & 42lbfts
🟢 Max Output = 341HP & 345lbfts
