The Best Budget Smartphone Gimbal | Vlog Pocket Review

Is this the best budget smartphone gimbal available for your Android or iPhone? That's hard to say but the Feiyi Tech Vlog Pocket is definitely one of the smallest and the price is fair (under $100), as you'll see in this video where I give you my opinion on this small smart phone gimbal and show you some random video clips that I shot with it.

PROS:
The price is hard to beat. Very small and light weight. Excellent first gimbal. Easy to use once you figure out how it all works. Great battery life. It does what it is supposed to do, help you shoot smooth footage. Tracking feature works well. Perfect for travel.

CONS:
The app needs work. I wasn't able to do upside down shots where I would hang the gimbal and move it close to the ground. This could be user error but the gimbal didn't want to work right when I did that. This is for smaller phones. If you have a "Max" or large phone, it might not work. It also didn't work well with a wide angle lens on it, as it was too heavy.

GENERAL INFO:
Using a gimbal at first can be awkward. It might even seem like it doesn't work correctly. You'll want to make sure to read the instructions, watch some videos on it, and turn things on in the correct order. For the Vlog Pocket I had to first insert my phone (there is a correct UP to insert it), turn on the app or camera, then turn on the gimbal. Anything else would make the gimbal flop around. Learn how to use the gimbal and then it will be easy to work with.

It shoots good footage. I really had fun with the track feature using my iPhone. It was nice not asking anyone to help me record. I also had pairing difficulty with my iPhone but the Note 9 paired better. If the note haven’t been so heavy making it go wild it would have been perfect. The Zhiyun Smooth Q2 is smaller.

This pocket gimbal is worth buying, a thousand dollars is not bad. I want to have that. When you test it and just using you iPhone, it's smooth. I'm dying to have that. Lol. Mostly, i do travel vlogs. So, that thing is a must have.
