I had a brand new 3008 rental in February, for about 10 days, so I could appreciate the quality of the interior, the handling and the ride. Even the silence was pretty good for a gasoline car. So I’m pretty sure the new e-3008 will be good. It will also be expensive, as Peugeot is not usually in the lower brackets of the market.

Couldn't agree more - 408 looks much better.

Nice. Base model is about $50, 000, bigger range versions way more, range topper with 700km range (in theory but no way it will do more than 600km is reality) will be way more again - probably more like $80, 000.

Don’t get me wrong (I drive a Peugeot e208 which is a great small car) but the prices on bigger EV’s are ridiculous and have to come down otherwise EV growth is going to majorly stall.

Watt-hours is battery capacity, not watts. (Wh) Watts is the instantaneous measure of power, Watt-hours is cumulative energy over time.

My mother’s Suzuki Ignis has a tiny battery which is used to power an electric motor that helps with the acceleration. Perhaps Peugeot uses a similar system.

The only problem with the old 3008 was the rear old suspension, if the new e-3008 will have a multilink rear suspension it will be the perfect car, really nothing bad on this car, I drive the old model 1.6 puretech 180 eat8 for 135.000 km and nothing to blame, is really a hit, maximum speed 230 km/ hour, is really fast. The problem with the ICE cars is that are overpassed and the switch to a electric car is iminent. You have said that the 408 is better looking but you have to know the 408 shares the same plathform with the old 3008, so for me is still a overpassed car, a car I will never buy. Whatever, the e-3008 is just a dream right now so for the moment I allready order a EQA 250 but I still dream to have a e-3008 and I trust Stellantis will do it right with no compromise. Have a good luck!

Make a video about Li Auto.
I really like the range extender it offers.

Mild hybrid just gives more efficiency and better performance, allowing energy recapture under braking and boosting acceleration, compared to an ICE of the same engine size. It’s more sensible than old style Toyota hybrid or PHEV. It’s the minimal amount of hybrid needed to get most is the benefits.

As long as it's an EV, I'm all for it.
I just wonder how they plan to compete against *Tesla* with its faster, cheaper *GigaCasting* machines, its cheaper, faster *Unboxed* production techniques, its cheaper, faster paint technique, its better inventory control, its ...

Any car that is a conversion fraction m an ICE form and/or is designed so that a hybrid version also is possible has got to be at an extreme engineered big disadvantage vs what is possible from an EV only design.

Dual clutch is 10 times the cost of normal clutch to repair, & they last a fraction of the time.

It’s battery is probably inside out and back to front. True French engineering.

The 'mad hybrid' version isn't even good enough to be a joke. The available capacity of the traction battery is roughly that of the 12 Volt Lead/acid battery. 🤷‍♂ It would struggle to boil 3 litres of water.

00:40 - but the Cybertruck doesn't look odd at all. 🤣🤣🤣 Anyhow: it's Eurotrash.

Can't Peugeot and Citroën not reintroduce the iOn/C-Zero? Just to fill in those shoes that's most sorely missing.

I had the first series 3008 HYbrid4 two years later than promised. So Stellantis (PSA) always promised a lot and kept few. Many fine concepts but not so much of visions realized in real life! It’s their way with lots of management changes. Let’s talk again when that car is really to test in real life. As far as we now there is no wonder in efficiency and battery technology around. Might be it’s Stellantis that ordered at least a big number of 800 Volts SiC inverters? But also here I doubt all these hopeless announcements. Than the design like usual with Peugeot does never become better in a next generation. They lost all distinctive style of former elegant Pininfarina models which brought them French elegance and style. Our RCZ is after the 308CC the most stylish they made in recent times. The new 3008 Coupé however is especially 🤮 and not worth the estimated price but there are people out there with bad taste. Very disappointing what this brand is doing with their heritage. If the biggest market is buying anymore Peugeot or Citroen is not so clear. GAC (Jeep) and Dongfeng (Citroen, Peugeot) have a ‚disturbed‘ relationship, Mr. Micron had to go for talks with Xi Jinping and Tavares seemed to discuss issues of bad customer service without internally clear that with the Chinese partners. Reputation of Stellantis brands is seemingly not ever enough for asset-light plans and Opels entry cancelled completely. It’s like in former time when they killed avant-garde automobile Citroen with selling bad products with high discounts. Now in China you get the cars with 50% discount which seemingly does not contribute to higher margins. Most models are obsolete now and this also fires back to France and Europe. So in an attempt to save Stellantis grocery store they tell you everything you want to hear.😅😎

408 is sedan/liftback, not SUV. And it is 100% confirmed it will get EV version next year. However, there were no news about new 3008 and 5008.

700km is getting to be usable range. In cold, at highway speed, and only charging 10-80 means the real world highway road tripping range is more like 350-360km. 360km at 120km/h is 3 hours which is about the range I want to see before I would get an EV. Hopefully more like this in the next few years are coming. I'm on board with EV tech but it has to be usable.
