I know what you mean, when I slowed done to actually watch what the clear was doing is when I started to get really nice jobs off the gun, and I really enjoyed the painting more, nothing quite like laying down an nice clear coat.

Good call on the slow down, I have the biggest problem with that. I’m finding that dialing it back, fluid, pressure, and slowing down is in fact giving me a better finish. Pretty work young man, you are a talent.

Hi Tony, great to see another video from you mate and the GTO looks beautiful with the lovely flat clear finish you got from the Fuji MP-V8. I really like your relaxed spraying style and after hearing the setting you are using on the Fuji I'm thinking I should take another look at my own technique as I have all my clear guns set to full fluid but I don't think I'm a fast painter, I'll also look at trying the air pressure at 1.8 bar as I also use 2 bar on all my clear guns.

Which clear do you like better? Mipa or Quartz. If Mipa which air dry one and also a Sata 5500 RP with a 1.2 tip for clear only.
