Capacity Building for Autism Interventions (CBAI) Field Supervision Program
Rachel L White, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA
Center for Human Development, University of Alaska Anchorage
The CBAI Field Supervision Program is funded by the Alaska Division of Women’s Children’s and Family Health. The CBAI Field Supervision program began in 2010 and has admitted a new cohort of field supervision trainees each year. The materials shared within this folder have developed over time and through collaboration with colleagues. The program grew from a collaboration with Linda Heitzman-Powell of Integrated Behavioral Technologies and the Center for Human Development. Additional resources which guided development of these topics are referenced in this document.
The topics are written as a guide to discussion in a group supervision setting. The format of our program consists of group supervision sessions every other week where a topic will be discussed. The trainees are provided with the written topic and the assignments and resources. The BCBA leading the group supervision goes over the topic in their own words and based on their own experience, using the topic as a guide. Discussions occur within the group supervision format and topics may be spread out across multiple sessions. The order begins with topics and skills for direct service provision and builds up to consultant level work.
