Rewatching AoT I wa actually more impressed by the dialogue in that scene. Pyxis says something like "There is a legend that the titans were created so that the people would have a common enemy and don't fight amongst them." At that point we don't know much, but indeed the people inside the walls are all trying to survive against the titans, while near the end we learn about the rest of the world which is much similar to ours and has wars among nations. It also can relate to king Fritz that created the walls to create peace. I don't want to write a lot so I'll finish here lol
