The Worst Conditions at Santiago Oaks! Yoshimura 'Old Gold' SS Chilao Pedals 12/7/24

It's been a few months since the last time riding Santiago Oaks. The last time here the trails were so much better. Not only are the trails loose and dry but there are huge brake bumps everywhere.
We hit Yucca Ridge, Hawk, Chutes and Water Fall. All of the trails were in bad shape but Hawk and Water Fall were really bad. I have ridden here so many times and this is probably the worst conditions I have ever seen.

And yes, some parts of those trails were in bad conditions but, still looked fun. A small piece of advice from a 45 year old with 4 different mtb's: the only speed that you should concern yourself with is the one that you're able to do, within your confort zone, in order to take pleasure! For me, in MTB, that's the only thing I'm worried about: pleasure! Within safety, because I'm a doctor and there's no way I can injure my hands. That would be a disaster...So, big shout out! Trail conditions in SoCal continue to worsen. Aliso and Oaks are good examples of how ebikes allow 1 or 2 more laps per rider but we aren't getting more trail work to accommodate the extra traffic. As more riders jump on the E train it will only get worse.
