Solve Literal Equation (Formula) - Solve A=(1/2)h(b1+b2) for b2

A=(1/2)h(b1+b2) is the literal equation (formula) to be solved for b2. Initially the denominator is cleared by multiplying both sides of the equation by the LCD=2. The remaining problem is solved two different ways. In the first method both sides are divided by h before b2 is isolated on the right hand side. In the second method, h is distributed over the parentheses, the h*b1 term is subtracted from both sides, before b2 is isolated on the right hand side.
