I'm a woman of color and La rosay Medicated cleanser removed every single hormonal acne I had 2 years ago and its never come back. I want to try the Purifying skin. I like water gel based moisturizer and cleasner becasue I hate my skin to feel caked up.

I had suffered from acne due to using the wrong skincare for almost 5 years. I’m 27 this year. It was really a terrible phase & a lot of visit to the derm. I also became very particular of what I put on my skin and went through the ingredients very specific as I’m afraid the wrong ingredients would affect my skin. It was a lot of trial and error, and I was really sceptical to use LRP products at first but lo and behold the effaclar range works best for my skin. I’m finally acne free for a year now and I strongly believed what works for everyone skin is different. Skincare is a personal journey for me.

I use La Roche-Posay Lipikar ceramide (LIPIKAR AP+M TRIPLE REPAIR BODY MOISTURIZER FOR DRY SKIN). I was hoping to hear about this particular product. My dermatologist recommended this brand. This is why I need you, Dr. V.

As a person of color, La Roche Posay Double Repair face moisturizer works great for me. Dr. V is educated in her field, but she definitely isn't the only qualified Dr. out here who's reputable & knowledgeable. She trashes this company but I wouldn't aim to throw out everything I ever bought from the company based on this video. Every dermatologist is different and so is every person and their skin type. Genetics and what you eat definitely plays a part as well. There is no perfect product, and truthfully a lot of products work for some and not others. There isn't a gospel truth skincare product that's one size fits all. We find what is best for ourselves and stick with it. If you trust your Dr. & are getting good results, then by all means don't abandon it. Unless there is harmful evidence or health concerns with what you're using, I wouldn't put all my eggs in 1 basket based on what 1 dermatologist says amongst the millions that exist on planet earth. I'm pretty Dr. V believes her skincare line is flaw free, which would be false. There are definitely other Dr's. out here who would find faults with her products too. We live in a democracy and opinions vary. Do your research and whatever you choose, do so wisely.

Hello Dr. Rattan, I think it would be a great idea to educate our doctors. Keep fighting for us! We love and appreciate you and what you're doing in the skin care industry.

I am alergic to anything from La Roche.. I get terrible contact dermatitis from even a cleanser. I have many friends who experience the same. Definitely not the brand for sensitive skin. Thank you so much for your work, being a poc in a predominately white country makes it difficult to find a professional who is educated on treating skin of colour. All the best wishes from Croatia <3

Firstly I love how honest she is about products and I love how she isn’t sponsored but I honestly don’t see anything wrong with La Roche Posay I mean I have acne prone skin which is oily and what I have done is I have started to use Garnier charcoal Face wash that has sacylic Acid as an ingredient after that I go in with make up that has Sacylic acid like I use to use the Elf medicated Foundation that worked wonders for my skin and I found that it has cleared my skin up beautifully…. I just think of you are going to use something like La Roche Posay than make sure you actually do steps before applying that moisturiser to your face….. I wanna try it cause my skin is not bad anymore and I don’t get break outs on my face as bad as I did now only on my back though so I’m gonna try that product and let you all know how it goes…

Your product reviews are extremely helpful. This line is highly recommended and now I know why it didn’t work for me. Please put Black Girl sunscreen on your list of products to review. Thank you!

I think the Toleriane range they have is very good, I use it regularly and it works well in my sensitive skin.

I have had an excellent experience with the Effaclar line. It totally eliminated the sebaceous filaments in my nose. Nothing else, and I mean nothing else elongated them. Also, you can use just the face wash, you do not need to use 2-3 products after using it!

Oh my God, I've been using for 1 year effaclar cleanser and duo, for my acne and have done nothing, now I know why 😭 my dermatologist recommended and I just wasted money and time. I WILL PURCHASE THE TRIO BLEMISH RANGE right now. Thank you Dr V, God bless you for telling us the truth

You're a skincare Wikipedia for me. I've learned and still learning so much about skincare products by watching your videos. Many times you have saved me from buying wrong products for my skin.

I think there are lots of great ranges from LRP. I use Cicaplast Baume B5 at night, and it's amazing. Dr Shreene Idriss talks about best pairing ingredients, and this has cica and zinc! It would be useful to continue educating us on best products from brands as we are now all informed on what to avoid. Thank you. X

So what do you recommend? This product was recommended to me about three weeks ago but now I’m so confused after watching this video!

My mother broke out from all moisturizers until she found La Roche Posay. She uses the Toleriane crème, the toleriane caring wash and anthelios UVmune400. It works great for her. My brother only uses exclusively LRP products and they really improved his skin. He uses the toleriane double repair moisturizer, effaclar adapalene and their mineral sunscreen. You've got to admit that they have some good products with the most beautiful design.

La Roche posay products are fantastic. It’s the only product that have used and gave me instant result. It’s the best so far💯. I hardly leave reviews but I just have to say this. I’m making a video about it tomorrow.
