What’s hidden behind the Gorilla Tag Secret Tunnel? (New Map?)

If you haven't noticed yet, there is a secret tunnel opening up in Gorilla Tag, today we go through a few theories on what could be on the other side as well as dig deep into the game files to try and figure out the secret hidden behind. What do you think is inside?

What do you think is behind the secret tunnel? Dodgeball? Valley map or something else?

Lemming has said this a few times from what I know but gorilla tag was supposed to be dodgeball but he later decided to change it to tag and that's why there are dodgeball related objects in the files.

That tunnel has been there since the game came out, maybe even earlier originally, the tunnel was meant for the canyon, but the dev realized walking through servers to get where you want would be a slight pain. So lemming added the big tunnel sticking out the back side of the half-cut tree.
I always wanted lemming to grow the tree, climb the branches to get to some buildings hanging up top, which would completely stop being on top of the map as an end all be all, you could just climb the tree and jump down to the wall.

I think the map you found is just a sketch for the forest map. He just added graphics in a different file with the same model and left the blank 1.

Thank you so much for putting this much effort, and giving us this info. But i might have to disagree, for starters, the ball sound doesn't add up and I put a little thought into this as well, so a valley doesn't give any places to do any cool tricks or anything like that. And take it back a few updates and we have an obstacle course, mix the two together i'm thinking something similar to wipeout. That's just my thoughts.

maybe hike map could come back but smaller, if you all didnt know, hike map was an unused map originally used for the secret tunnel from forest, it was actually a literal mile long and forest looked like a speck compared to it, but due to terrible performance issues because of it being so huge, it had to be removed/shelfed, it could come back one day, but its just a theory, so we'll never know lol

It would be cool if the tunnel lead to a waterfall map with like bouncy lily pads or something, and for canyon it would be a Wild West cow boy type town. Then for mines we could go down deeper and it would be a lava map that only the lava monkeys can go in. Some maps I think sound cool.

I think if it was a new map, it is in its very beginning stages and would take a while to come out. And, the mountain map was known way before it came out and I think since it is a decently small game, new maps are helping it get more users, more popularity, leading to even more money.

The map is actually just forest without any objects or trees also the textures you found are from the forest map so I don’t think that they are adding a valley or dodgeball (I think that might be put in as a different mode) behind the tunnel I think it might be something else

the "valley" isnt a new map its the base for the what is now the forest, because the treehouse was going to be a lot bigger than it is now so it could connect to every upcoming map with no loading issues.

hey its A NEW map i got to the tunnel from the top of the map and there are textures of like a cave and its rlly cool it used to be all black but not anymore
